The WVBC Senior Adult Ministry is reaching adults over the age of 55 by providing two Golden’eers retreats per year, one in the spring and one in the fall, which provides a time of fellowship, in-depth Bible Study and a variety of entertainment. The retreat provides a time to grow in meaningful relationship with Jesus and in relationship with others in God’s family.

A new ministry that is also beginning is Intentional Grandparenting. Recognizing how incredibly important grandparents are to their grandchildren, this ministry is designed to come alongside grandparents to help equip them to better spiritually influence and disciple their grandchildren.

Golden’eers Conference

Are you over the age of 55? Join us September 9-11, 2024 for our annual Fall Golden’eers Conference at Parchment Valley Conference Center. This year we will explore the theme “Grateful for Relationships: A Study of Philippians.”

Bible Study Leader: Kevin Sions

The Conference will begin on Monday in the Santrock Education Center with registration and pizza at 12:00 Noon and will end on Wednesday at 11:00 am.

Intentional Grandparenting Seminars

For some of you, this seminar will affirm the good things you are already doing with your grandkids.  For others, it will shake your world and give you a brand new perspective on what it means to be a grandparent.  Whether you are on one end of that spectrum or the other – or in the middle somewhere – you are going to be deeply impacted by these few hours.

You will go away filled up with inspiration, ideas, and tools to help you realize your potential to grandparent successfully.  You will unlearn some things, and relearn others.  Your passion for your grandkids will be kindled even higher and you’ll go away changed.  More importantly, those precious grandchildren of yours will benefit, and they will never be the same because you have listened, learned, and grown yourself.
